When I started needlepointing I was so overwhelmed by the amount of thread choices.
For 13 mesh my go to is Milan or Silk & Ivory. Both are incredibly soft and easy to work with. They are a 50/50 silk and wool blend and single ply making these easy for beginners and great for any project you want to last a lifetime.
For 18 mesh I almost exclusively use Essentials, a 50/50 silk and wool blend, or Pepper Pot Silk. These are also both great for beginners and easy to stitch with that will help you make projects that will last a lifetime.
Whenever I want to add a touch of sparkle to my canvas I always reach for Reflections which I have used for 13 or 18 mesh.
